FL-ECT series 303

FL-ECT 303 is a 3PH-3PH Online UPS for industrial application with regenerative load bank. Designed for harsh electrical and environmental conditions this model is a long life model.

Uninterupted power is the prime infrastructure of any business-process and a basic need of any successful sustaining operations. With the increase of atomization of process and production lines, to reduce costs, improve quality and productivity, nothing could be more expensive than the interruption of the production line due to the interruption of power. The cost of such breakdown could mean wastage of raw material, labor to set the production in place and more importantly potential damage of customer relation due to delivery delays.

Capability to handle 4-quadrant regenerative loads. (process industry).

REGENERATIVE ENERGY.

When rotating element of a motor runs faster than its voltage drive control (command), then the motor begins to act as generator and energy pumps back to the source. The conventional Online UPS cannot absorb this energy and the DC bus voltage starts increasing and leads to failure of DC capacitor and switching device.

The re-generative braking energy is produced in the following conditions,

  1. Quickly decelerating a high inertia (mechanical arm, flywheel).
  2. Controlling the speed of a load moving vertically downwards (declining conveyor)
  3. ) Sudden drop in load torque. (Drilling operation, industrial saw)
  4. Repetitive acceleration and deceleration to a stop.
